Kiwanis strives to give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life, and to cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.

Our Mission Statement embodies what Kiwanis International is all about.

“Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.”

Locally, the club activities include reading to Prescott Elementary School Kindergarten classes, sponsoring the Prescott High School Key Club, sponsoring Key Leader Camp participants, funding and providing toys for needy K-4 grade students through the Prescott High School Key Club Annual Christmas Party, providing Annual Kiwanis Honors Banquet to promote academic excellence, sponsoring junior softball & baseball teams through Prescott Parks and Recreation, contributing to the Earl Collins Scholarship Fund and gives local scholarships.  The Kiwanis Club also contributes to Leadership Nevada County, Nevada County Library Summer Reading Program and the local FoodShare.  The club holds three annual fundraisers: the Spring Pancake Supper & Silent Auction, a winter Chili/Beans & Cornbread Lunch and a Fall Fish Fry.  Prescott Kiwanis Club also works in collaboration with other local civic clubs on joint community projects.
