Arklatex Wild Hog Round-Up

HOPE-While waiting on the hog hunters to return to the Hope Fair Park Coliseum, guests visited with vendors such as Bob Erwin with Bobs Antiques located in downtown Hope and Cyle Honeycutt with Hope Tractor Company along with other vendors who travel from around the state following the events. A catch dog show was judged with Tristian placing first, Dakota placing second, and third place being Addison. Following that Jeromy Sullivent introduced guest speaker, Jan Morgan who is running for Arkansas State Govern. Ms. Morgan briefly spoke to the audience before joining to crowd to visit one on one with guests. A raffle drawing was held were prizes such as a yeti cooler, toolbox, a gun lock box, along with various other items were given away. The winners of the hog hunt were then announced with the winning as followed;

Biggest Sal winning $300 and trophy with the weight of 206 pounds going to the “Wanna Be’s” team.

Longest Tusk winning $300 and trophy with the length of 1.999 inches went to the “Wanna Be’s” team.

Biggest overall hog weighing 267.7 pounds winning $300 and trophy was the “Wanna Be’s” team.

The jackpot prize with a $350 value and trophy went to the “Wanna Be’s” team with the weight of 177.8.

The top three overall combined weight of all five hogs were; 761 pounds, 785 pounds, and 94.2 pounds.
