Beginner shooting course

COLUMBUS – The Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Conservation Education Center invites you to join us for Saturday on the Range.

If you have wanted to learn to shoot shotguns, but just never had the chance, here it is. Join the staff at Grandview Prairie as we put you on the road to becoming a sport shooter. Saturday on the Range is an opportunity for anyone ages 10 and up, wanting to learn to shoot a different discipline each Saturday; like trap, skeet, five stand, sporting clays and 3-D archery.

Participants will learn all the basics of shooting – how to hold the gun, aiming, etc. Firearms and ammunition provided. This is a workshop for beginners only.

This is a free program, however, registration is required for planning purposes. Call 870-983-2790 to register, get directions or get more information about the program. There is no fee for this program thanks to the 1/8 cent conservation sales tax.

This event will be held from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.
