Mr. Roger Alton Lamb

Mr. Roger Alton Lamb, 81 of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Biloxi. Mr. Lamb was born in Delight, Arkansas on December 31, 1936 to Lewis and Libbie Hughes Lamb.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Janet Stone.  Mr. Lamb was baptized in the Church of Christ in Delight, Arkansas. He had served his country in the United States Air Force for over 28 years, retiring a Senior Master Sergeant. During his time in the military, he served in the Vietnam War from October 1966 to October 1967 and went into Thailand and Laos.

Mr. Lamb’s favorite activity was his annual deer hunting trip to a camp in Delight. His other hobbies included photography, leatherwork, crossword puzzles, woodworking, bird watching, making wine and traveling. He was a very enthusiastic fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. He was very avid about reading western novels, studying history and was very interested in the many aspects of World War Two.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Carolyn Gammill Lamb of Biloxi, MS, their children: a son Mitch Lamb and wife, Karen of Waterville, OH, two daughters Debbie White husband, Cy of Tyler, TX and Kathy Herbert of Melbourne, FL and a brother Mike Lamb of Lenoir City, TN, nine grandchildren Clay White, Carly Burch, Collin White, Camerin Booher, Ashley Eichler, Allen Herbert, Jacklyn Herbert, Jacob Lamb and Konner Lamb, 5 great-grandchildren, other family members and a host of friends.

Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home.

Funeral service, 2:00pm on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Alexander officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
