50th Annual Jonquil Festival

With jonquils coming into bloom the 50th Anniversary of the Jonquil Festival will be held at Historic Washington State Park March 16 through March 18. On Friday and Saturday the park will be open from 9:00am until 5:00pm and the from 9:00am until 4:00pm on Sunday. Tours of the park, historic homes, and museums will be available at regular price during the festival.

Events such as a parade, fish fry, 5K run, car show, horseshoes, dutch oven demonstrations and much more will be happening at this years festival. The list of events and times will be listed in an image below.

The parade will be on March 16 beginning at 6:00, groups are encouraged to decorate their floats to represent the past 200 years of Hempstead County history. The line up for the parade with start at the blacksmith shop starting at 5:30. The route will start at the Black House and travel down Conway Street to Izard Street then onto franklin and Lawrence and ending Carroll Street at the Brunson House.
