Spring Hill Township Bus Tour April 22

On Sunday, April 22 at 2pm the Hempstead County Historical Society will provide a bus tour to Spring Hill Township and the community of Spring Hill. The tour will also visit the area of Dooley’s Ferry, which was an early crossing of the Red River from the county and a Civil War site. The Hempstead County Historical Society will be providing a series of bus tours each month to each of the different townships of Hempstead County as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of Hempstead County.

The bus will leave at 2pm from Hope at the parking lot across from BancorpSouth at the intersection of 3rdand Elm Street. The tour will last a little over 2 hours. Admission price for the tour is $10 per person and will go to support the Historical Society. Reservations are required.
