Ronald Paul “Ronny” Jones

Ronald Paul “Ronny” Jones, 75, passed away in Camden, AR, on Monday, April 23, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Ronald was the son of Paul H. Jones, long-time Managing Editor of the Hope Star, and Mattie Elsie Glaze Jones who was an elementary school teacher in Hope Public Schools for many decades. Ron graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Chemical Engineering and was employed by International Paper Company in Camden for the duration of his career.

Although Ron’s immediate family has grown quite small, he is survived by a host of friends, Jeanne Farris of Hot Springs and her sons, Lef of Camden and Clay, who resides in Japan, and cousins, Nell Jones and Dianne Massanelli of Hope, Peggy Walker and Anne Douglas of Ashdown, and Judy Lee of Dallas, among others, who will never forget his quick wit, kind and loving spirit, biting good humor and intelligence.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel at Hope with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
