Lloyd to address HCHS

HOPE – The Hempstead County Historical Society will be holding a meeting on Tuesday evening May 22,  at the Presbyterian Church in Washington, at 7p.m. Everyone is welcome. The evening program will be by local historian and retired archivist Peggy Lloyd. Lloyd will speak on her research of the Howard County Race Riot that occurred in part of Howard and northwestern Hempstead County in the late 19^th century.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
