Washington farmer’s market open Saturday

WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon  Saturday, June 16.

The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce.

Vendors at the market include: Arnold Farm of DeAnn with okra, hot and sweet peppers, yellow and green zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, some tomatoes; Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with green beans, kale, hot peppers, squash, variety of homemade baked goods and jellies; Peggy Carrigan of Ozan with various baked goods; Aunt Fern from Ozan with her famous fried pies chocolate, coconut, peach and pecan pies and possibly more; Barry Produce of Washington with cucumbers, squash, jalapeños, painted flower pots and delicious homemade lemonade; and Grace Cottage Kitchen of Washington will have a variety of bake good: scones, breads, muffins and chocolate cookies.
