Bobcat golf schedule set

HOPE – Match play for the Hope High School Bobcat golf program gets underway at home July 30 for a three-event home stand to open the 2018 season.
HHS boys and girls match play begins with Arkadelphia and Taylor in 18-hole rounds July 30 at the Hope Country Club, according to HHS Golf Coach Mike Godwin.
The Bobcat Charity Scramble is up next on Aug. 4 at the Hope Country Club, followed by match play in 18 holes against DeQueen and Nashville on Aug. 14.
The first half of the Bobcats’ travel schedule begins Aug. 16 with an 18-hole match play against Camden-Fairview at the Camden Country Club, followed on Aug. 20 by a nine-hole match against DeQueen at the DeQueen Country Club.
The Cats travel to Benton’s Long Hills County Club on Aug. 23 for a nine-hole match against Bauxite, and then to Nashville on Aug. 27 for nine-hole play at the Nashville Country Club.
The Bobcats host tournament play at the Hope Country Club on Aug. 28, in a nine-hole outing with Fairview, DeQueen, Malvern, and Arkadelphia.
Match play travel resumes against Magnolia on Aug. 30 with an 18-hole contest at Magnolia Country Club, followed by Malvern in a nine-hole match Sept. 4 at the Malvern Country club, and concluding Sept. 10 against Arkadelphia for 18 holes at the DeGray Resort Golf Course.
The Cats will host Magnolia in an 18-hole match to conclude regular season play at the Hope Country Club on Sept. 11.
District tournament practice play at DeGray Resort Golf Course is set for Sept. 17, with both boys and girls district tournaments set for Sept. 18 at DeGray.
Girls’ state tournament practice play is Sept. 24 at Big Sugar Golf Course, with the girl’s 4A State Golf Tournament to tee off there on Sept. 25.
Boys’ state tournament practice is Oct. 2 at Ridgepoint Country Club with the 4A State Golf Tournament set there Oct. 3.
