Task force charges two with drugs

HOPE – On Friday, July 20, members of the 8th Task Force, along with other agencies, served arrest and search warrants at 1011 North Sherman Street in Hope.

Corey J. Armstrong, 37, was taken into custody for aggravated assault, terroristic threatening in the first degree and felon in possession of a firearm.  A search of the residence found 5.3 grams of cocaine, marijuana, pills, drug paraphernalia and a 40 caliber pistol. Armstrong was additionally charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and simultaneous possession of a firearm and narcotics.  Armstrong was placed in the Hempstead County Detention Facility pending first judicial appearance.

On Monday, July 16, Stephen Hendrix, 23,of 214 E. Hickory St. was taken into custody by the Hope Police Department for two counts of delivery of cocaine and marijuana.  This investigation was conducted by members of the 8th Task Force.  Hendrix was placed in the Hempstead County Detention Facility for first judicial appearance.
