Williams charged with possession

PRESCOTT – On Friday, August 17, officers with the 8th North Task Force received information a wanted individual was staying at the American Value Inn in Prescott. The subject showed to have a felony warrant for his arrest.

The individual identified as 37-year-old Gary Williams from Hope showed to be staying in Room 217 of the motel.

Task Force Officers made entry into the room placing Williams in custody.

Officers noticed in plain sight a large amount of crystal type substance believed to be methamphetamine along with paraphernalia inside of the room.

Upon arrival at the jail Williams was searched finding a large amount of currency along with two small baggies containing a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine on his person.

Williams was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, furnishing prohibited articles into a correctional facility along with the valid warrants.

Williams awaits first judicial appearance on the above charges.
