HOPE – Teachers, cafeteria staff, bus drivers and administrative staff at Beryl Henry Elementary School got off to a sweet start this school year.
BHE Principal Dr. Roy Turner created the sweet stir on campus during the first week of school by providing treat packs for each teacher, staff member and bus driver. Dr. Turner emphasized the importance of such celebrations and recognition.
“I work with a great group of educators, and I’m proud to be a part of the BHE family,” he said. “We cannot thank our staff members enough for all that they do for students.”
Turner said the campus will also institute a Positive Point of the Day this year.
“The positive messages are written on a chart and created to motivate, encourage and inspire our students and bus drivers to have a great day,” he said.
Turner credited Karen Flenory and Corliss Stuckey with the idea. BHE staff were also treated to a Hope specialty, cold watermelon slices, furnished by the BHE administrative staff including Cleytus Coulter, assistant principal, Linda Rowe and Gabriella Coy.
“It’s a way of saying, ‘thank you’ to members of our Beryl Henry family,” Turner said.
