BHS student council hosts haunted trail

BLEVINS – This year marked the third annual Haunted Trail put on by the student council.

The proceeds from the haunted trail are used to fund homecoming. It is the largest haunted trail in Hempstead County at half mile long , there was also a kiddy trail for the younger children. It was designed and put on by a group of 30 students, grades 7-12 with a little help from faculty and parents. The students work for weeks leading up to the event designing and building props, making costumes, and rehearsing their scenes.

Lacy Estes had them watch acting videos to help them learn how to act out the scenes. All of the students put in long hours of hard work to make it a success and seemed very proud of everything they had accomplished. The Haunted Trail provides a local family friendly environment that benefits the Blevins School system and gives the students a creative outlet.
