Santa making first appearance in Emmet Saturday

EMMET – No matter what the weather, the Emmet Christmas Parade will go on as scheduled Saturday evening.

The parade is set for 6 p.m. with participants to line up at the old school at 5:30. The parade will wind through Emmet and end up at the Chuck Wagon, it’s traditional finishing point. Santa will make his first appearance in the parade and will be at the Chuck Wagon to hear what all the children want for Christmas this year.

However, at this time weather forecasts are calling for an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the day, falling to 30 percent Saturday night. The parade is sponsored by the Emmet Vision Association (EVA). For more information call or text Jewel Allen at 870-887-3285, or Anita at 903-276-5723.
