ATV ride leads to arrest

WILLISVILLE – On Saturday January 12, Deputy Bo Morris and K-9 Deputy Jeremy Hendrix were called to the area of Willisville, due to ATV’s being operated on public road.

Deputies made contact with several individuals on Nevada 8 just east of Willisville who were on ATV’s. When contact was made, the deputies observed and intoxicating odor of alcohol coming from one of the operators.

Deputy Morris conducted an investigation of the operator finding Chase Arrington was under the influence of alcohol and was also under the age of 21.

All of the other operators were tested and were under the limit of DUI. Arrington admitted to giving alcohol to the other underage individuals.

Arrington was placed under arrest and was transported to the Nevada County Sheriff’s detention facility where he was offered a breath test in which he scored a .11 on.

Arrington was charged with driving while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol, and contributing to the delinquency of minor.
