ROSSTON – Friday was homecoming for the Nevada Blue Jays.

This year’s format was different from years past as the homecoming ceremonies were held following the junior boys game. This is because it was a conference game and the senior girls would also be taking to the court after the senior boys game. In the past, homecoming festivities were held prior to the junior boys game, with the senior boys game the last of the night before the homecoming dance.
Carolyn Dixon was crowned homecoming queen at center court. The homecoming theme was “Royal Blue”.

The seventh grade maids were Ze’Miah Morgan and Bryanna Brock. Eighth grade maids were Nakia Prater and Mya Hughey. Karson Moss and Ashanti Paden represented the freshman class, while the sophomores were represented by Tori Jones and Emma Lafferty. Aaliyah Grant and Ashlynn Hart were the junior maids, while Terrica Williams, Caeley Callicott, Vallery Barnes and Camyia Cody were all named senior maids.
