First Presbyterian Donates Over 1,000 Pounds Of Food And $1,638 To Hope In Action

The First Presbyterian Church of Hope held its annual “Souper Bowl of Caring” February 1st and 2nd to collect food and cash for Hope In Action. This year turned out to be one of the best ever in the fifteen year history of the local effort. The church collected over 1,000 pounds of food and $1,638 in cash, checks, and a Super 1 gift card. The church presented the food and money to Hope In Action Tuesday February 4th. Shown are Paul Henley and Mae Dulaney of Hope In Action along with First Presbyterian Minister Rev. Kathleen Hignight, along with Sally Short, Dan Hignight and John Watkins. The church greatly appreciates those who donated to this year’s effort.
