Career Fair March 14

HOPE – A career fair will be held from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. March 14 at Hempstead Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.

Employers can expect to interact with up to 2,500 high school juniors and seniors from Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Nevada, Lafayette, Little River and Sevier counties. The fair is being presented by the Southwest Arkansas Development Alliance (SADA), the Southwest Arkansas Educational Cooperative (SEAC), and UAHT. This will be a good opportunity for potential employers to network with those who could become future employees.

However, students will be on hand only for the morning hours. The afternoon session will be open to the general public and those looking for jobs now can come and talk with the businesses and industries represented. The fair will have space for 2-4 employee representatives, an eight-foot banquet table for displays, access to interview space (if needed and wanted), electricity, free wifi, free access to a copy machine and parking.

Employers looking to participate can register by calling Steve Harris with the Hempstead County Economic Development Corporation at 870-777-8485.
