Mud Nationals successful

BLEVINS – Hillarosa’s RV/ATV park was packed over the weekend for the High Lifter Mud Nationals.

According to Blevins Mayor Bobby Steed, upwards of 15,000 people attended the event, but there was no problem as the Arkansas State Police and Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office had officers on duty throughout the weekend. On top of this, High Lifter hired extra security.

Tim Choate, Blevins Fire Chief, said he was there for most of the event, adding there were no problems and everything went smoothly. He said for such a large turnout there few problems and the ride was safe for the most part. What few injuries there were, he added, were minor and Pafford Ambulance Service was on hand to take care of them.

“This was the largest event I’ve ever seen there,” he said.
