Civitan Raffle

Dr. Bobby Hart, Superintendent of Hope Public Schools, prepares to read the name of the winner of the Hope Civitan Club Easter basket raffle after addressing the Civitan Club April 9. He was asked to draw a name from all the tickets sold by Civitan members for the large basket full of Easter goodies. Proceeds from the raffle will support Civitan projects in the local community. Dr. Hart updated the club on the Hope Collegiate Academy, a joint effort of Hope Public Schools and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana that offers students the opportunity to earn high school diplomas and associate degrees simultaneously. The Academy is located on the UA Hope campus. Dr. Hart also gave Civitans information on the food pantries established on each Hope campus to provide take-home items for students who may see a lack of food at home, in part due to the recent government shutdown and in preparation for other similar situations. Anyone who would like to donate non-perishable items should take them to the school administration building or to any Hope campus.
