Monday night the Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative held a poverty simulation at Hempstead Hall. The simulation was organized by Monica Morris and the crew at SWAEC to help bring awareness to what our students, and their families who struggle with poverty, go through on a daily basis. The simulation was attended by over 60 participants including teachers and administrators from Clinton Primary, staff from UACCH, Rotary Club members, various community members, and representatives from The CALL.Participants gained first hand knowledge of what it means to deal with situations dealing with poverty. Not only did the participants get a picture of what our students who suffer from poverty situations deal with, but plans and ideas were discussed on how to solve issues dealing with poverty in our community.
