Five arrested for burglary

PRESCOTT – On Thursday, April 18, Deputy Bo Morris was dispatched to a residence located on Nevada 128 in reference to a residential burglary. The victim gave a description of the vehicle and stated that the operator would be a Ryan Cox. While in route to the call Deputy Morris observed a older model Green Dodge Ram pickup that matched the description given to him by dispatch of the suspect vehicle involved in the burglary.

Deputy Morris turned around to attempt a traffic stop on the vehicle with the vehicle turning onto Nevada 50. Nevada 50 was impassible due to flooding problems at the time. Deputy Morris and Prescott Investigator Cody Ferguson were able to make contact with the vehicle on Nevada 50.

Deputy Morris identified the driver as Ryan Cox after contact was made along with five other individuals.

Deputy Morris contacted the victim by phone receiving information on the burglary.

Ryan Cox, passenger Kendrick Johnson and passenger Colton Gierth were all arrested for residential burglary and theft of property. Two other juvenile passengers were also arrested and released to parents for the burglary and theft.

After arriving at the detention facility Gierth was found to have drug paraphernalia on his person.

All suspects await judicial first appearance on the listed charges.
