Hempstead County Women’s Farm Bureau Committee Woman of the Month

Our Hempstead County woman for the month for May is Bonnie Webb.
Bonnie enjoys life on their family farm in Columbus Arkansas. She and her husband Richard own and manage a broiler farm for Tyson foods along with raising crossbred cattle.
They have three wonderful children: Lynze 25, Caleb 24 and Ty who is 19. Bonnie has also been a full-time postal employee for 18 years now.
Bonnie and her family are members of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. Here they enjoy teaching a children’s ministry class on Wednesday nights.
Bonnie loves to help out on the farm, grows her own garden, and enjoys canning all those delicious vegetables. Her favorite thing to tell people is that farming “is not just a job, it’s a way of life.” Bonnie and her husband believe raising a family on the farm is a bonus in life that they will never take for granted. The flexibility and work ethics are priceless on the farm.
Her hobbies include triathlon training and competing. One of her biggest highlights is being a member of “Team Beef Arkansas.” This sponsorship is a fun way to promote the beef industry in a variety of locations, while doing something she loves, running.
Although, she was not raised on a farm and knew very little about farming, once she had married into this way of life, she said “I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”
