PRESCOTT – Brittnee Edmondson is Prescott’s newest attorney.

Edmondson graduated from the William H. Bowen Law School in Little Rock last year and passed the bar earlier this year. She is the daughter of Pam and Dwayne Edmonson and has one brother, Levi, who will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science Friday. Her mother is a special education teacher in the Prescott School District, while her father is the pastor of the Church of the Acts.

Edmondson graduated from Prescott High School in 2009, a year early and went to SAU where she earned her BS in Political Science. After graduating from SAU in 2013, she took a year off and interned with local attorney Gene Hale before going to law school.

Edmondson enjoys playing the piano at her father’s church, but also plays the bass, drums, ukulele and saxophone. She also likes oil painting, something she’s been doing for five years, preferring to work on still life.

Her goal is to practice general law in the area, but she’s also not ruling out getting involved in politics. Edmondson decided to become a lawyer while in high school and devoted herself to achieving this goal. She said God made the way for her in this and she appreciates all He’s done.

When asked why become a lawyer, she said, “It’s the best way to help people. The community needs more lawyers, especially in the rural area.”

While in law school, Edmondson worked as a clerk for St. Vincent. In college she was a member of the English and Political Science Honor Society.

She said her family and church has been supportive of her efforts while getting a law degree. Edmondson plans to live in Prescott, saying she loves it here. She’s also looking forward to this fall so she can root for the Curley Wolves as they vie for a state title. “I’m a Wolf fan all the way.” In her off time, she also enjoys playing tennis and badminton.
