Persons watching the skies over Hope may have been surprised to see a “blimp”, a semi-rigid dirigible in the skies over Hope. The blimp docked at the Hope airport for a time while the crew went into Hope to eat. The airship is owned and operated by a company in Nashville, Tennessee. The company that owns the ship is Airsign Airship Group. According to one of the ground crew, Jordan Oxley, the company’s other blimp is about to head out to publicize Carnival Cruises.
The blimp was tethered to a portable mast which is pulled on a trailer by the ground crew. The ship is occupied by two pilots with the other 8 crew members following in vans. 69,000 cubit feet of helium filled the ship.
The ship was enroute back to Nashville, Tennessee.
