Dale Gathright Receives Citation From Arkansas House Of Representatives
By Mark Keith, 06/17/19 4:34 PMA contingent of media and District 3 State Representative stopped at Dale’s Grocery in Saratoga to present a citation to the proprietor from the Arkansas House of Representatives. Long-time Saratoga area Businessman and Booster Dale Gathright, Jr. was lauded for 40-plus years of community service. Representative Watson presented the citation which cites Gathright’s media efforts at KBHC-AM, KNAS-FM, KMTB-FM, and KMLA-FM. For the past ten years Gathright has published the Saratoga, Arkansas Digest. In addition to his own website which shares much news of western Hempstead County and the adjacent areas of Howard and Little River County, Gathright’s writings have been utilized via Hope radio stations KHPA/KXAR/KTPA and most recently in the “Hope-Prescott News” newspaper.
In addition to his media, Watson noted Gathright’s tireless efforts at promoting educational issues and economic development in the Saratoga area. Watson called the citation’s recipient “well-deserving” of the honor.
