Sheriff’s Auction Aug. 17

HOPE – The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and the 8^th North Task Force will conduct a public auction on Saturday August 17, at 9:00 am. The auction will be conducted by Don Honea Auctions and all sales are final and must be paid for and removed from the auction site no later than 5 pm the day of the auction.

The auction will be held at 9 am behind the Hempstead County Courthouse next to the Hempstead County Health Department. The vehicles may be inspected on Friday August 16, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Or prior to the start of the auction.

Persons purchasing firearms must undergo the required background check before being allowed to take possession of a firearm. That service will be provided by a licensed firearms dealer who will be on site.
