HOPE – Registration for fall classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) is open now through August 23, 2019. The college will hold extended hours registration on August 19 and 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Hope and Texarkana campuses. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

UAHT has the most affordable tuition in the State of Arkansas, and the college offers Bowie and Cass County residents the same affordable in-state tuition rate. At UAHT, you can earn a quality college degree without being weighed down by college debt. The average yearly cost of tuition at UAHT for Arkansas residents and border county residents is $2,310 per year.(1) Compare that with the average yearly in-state tuition cost of $9,970(2) for public four-year universities, and you save thousands right off the bat.

The good news doesn’t stop there. The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville recently announced the new Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship program.(3) The scholarship enables students who graduate with an associate degree from UAHT to transfer to the U of A Fayetteville and pay UAHT’s affordable tuition rate. Therefore, students who graduate with an associate degree from UAHT can attend U of A Fayetteville and save over 71% on tuition per credit hour.

Also, the UAHT Foundation offers students over one hundred twenty privately funded scholarships, and there are numerous financial aid opportunities, institutional scholarships, and work-study programs available to students. UAHT even offers the “U Can Scholarship” which may qualify students to take a free three-hour course. Along with affordable tuition and scholarship opportunities, UAHT offers a textbook rental program where students can rent college textbooks for only $20 per credit hour.

UAHT is now offering an exciting new Associate of Arts Degree with a Registered Nursing focus designed for students to transfer into the Texas A&M-Texarkana Bachelor of Science in Nursing RN program. The college also offers a variety of world-class technical programs such as Diesel Technology, HVAC, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Maintenance, Power Technologies, and Welding that prepare you for great jobs. With the availability of online, hybrid, and evening classes at UAHT, students can earn certificates and degrees through a variety of avenues.
