WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) will be in Miller, Little River, Lafayette, Columbia, Ouachita, Hempstead, Nevada and Pike counties on Wednesday and Thursday.
Event: Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

Boozman will speak at the Chamber breakfast and give a general overview of key issues in Washington.
Event: Media Availability following Domtar tour and intermodal meeting

Location: Domtar Learning and Development Center

Boozman will be available to discuss his tour of Domtar and meeting with local officials regarding intermodal issues.
Event: Meet with Lafayette County Officials

Boozman will meet with local officials to discuss levee needs. The meeting is expected to include Lafayette County Levee Board, members of the Quorum Court and other local officials.

Boozman will visit Southern Arkansas University (SAU) to tour new Engineering building in the College of Science and Engineering.

The Medical Center recently earned a Grade A safety ranking – one of only two in Arkansas. Boozman will meet with the center’s board and tour the new lab.
Event: Tour New Millennium
Time: 11 a.m.

Boozman will visit this recently expanded facility. New Millennium is a division of Steel Dynamics, one of the largest steel producers in America.
Event: Meeting with South Arkansas Development Alliance
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Nevada County Depot Museum
Boozman will meet with members of SADA and local leaders to discuss growing economic opportunity in Southwest Arkansas.
Event: Tour Lake Greeson Narrows Dam Hydropower Plant
Time: 4 p.m.
Location: 155 Dynamite Hill Road
Boozman will tour the $4 million modernization project that updated systems to this critical hydropower facility.
