2019 Watermelon Olympics

Returning again is the Watermelon Olympics! The Watermelon Olympics was organized by Taylor and Latesha Short and Steve Harris was the chairman for the event. This year 6 local businesses entered the competition. The teams were made up of six members. They went head to head against one another. There were six areas of competition basketball free throws, dart toss, watermelon relay, ballon toss, and a javelin throw. The top three teams then competed in a team hula hoop chain contest.

Basket Ball was won by Farmers Bank and Trust
Dart Toss was won by UAHT
Watermelon Relay was won by Farmers Bank and Trust
Water Balloon Toss was won by Child Support Enforcement
Javelin Toss was won by Victory Baptist Church

Top three teams: Victory Baptist Church, UAHT, and Farmers Bank and Trust

Overall Winner: Farmers Bank and Trust

2nd Place: Victory Baptist Church

3rd Place: UAHT

Most Spirit Award: Wadley Regional

Best Team Shirt Design: Child Support Enforcement

Top three teams received a medals. Farmers Bank and Trust received the trophy that has returned from past Watermelon Olympics and will have their names put on the plaque.
