Spring Hill School Board

SPRING HILL- Mr. Jimmy Don Hill called the meeting to order at 6:01 followed by a word of prayer by Mr. Danny Whatley. The board reviewed and approved the minutes. Elementary principal, Steve Bradshaw gave a report over the elementary school, stating that they had a full house during open house. They currently have 305 students enrolled compared to last years 320 students. Discussion about ACT Aspire Tests score showing standings from the 2018 and 2019 school years. Mr. Maggio gave an update on the high school. They have roughly 285 students enrolled. They currently have 14 exchange students. Superintendent Purtle gave updates on projects that they are working on, including the air conditioning in the gym. The board then went into executive session. Meeting returned back to order at 7:19. Resignation of Greg Huckabee for his bus route was accepted and board approved of new driver for the route. Teachers spoke with the board about high numbers of students in each of their classes, the board stated that they appreciated all the great work that the teaching staff has done and they help make Spring Hill so special. The meeting then adjourned.
