NCHU holds flu clinic
PRESCOTT – A mass flu clinic was held at the Nevada County Faigrounds Thursday.
Those wanting flu shots simply drove up, lowered their windows, presented their paperwork and got vaccinated. Debbie Henderson, administrator of the Nevada County Health Unit, said she expected around 500 to get immunized during the clinic this year, which, she said, is about average.
There was a steady stream of vehicles during the morning, with traffic expected to pick up once school let out.
The NCHU will be going to Nevada Schools on Oct. 1 to give students their flu shots during the morning in the school library. From 1-5 p.m. a mini-mass clinic will be held at the school for others who want a flu shot.
The school flu clinic for the Prescott School District will be in the activity center at Prescott Elementary School on Oct. 8 from 8:30-11 .m.
