Ribbon cutting for Chicken Den

PRESCOTT – Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held for the Chicken Den Friday morning.

The business, owned by Rico Hopper and Stacy Jester is located at the old Wolf Den.

Bruce Bean welcomed the business on behalf of the city, saying it’s good to have a business open, especially an eating business. He wished them the best of luck, adding he hopes they’re around for a long time.

Jester said the business will be offering specials all day Friday and added so far the business has been successful. The reason the diner was opened, she continued, was to give Prescott another place to eat.

She talked about coming from the generation that relied on the Broadway and wants to get back in the restaurant business. She added they’re looking to expand the menu and offer daily specials. The specials include: chicken and dressing, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, rigs, grilled BBQ chicken and fish on Fridays.

The Chicken Den is family owned and operated and does offer catering.
