The HAPS EAST team received a very generous donation of $800 from the Lions Club.

The funds will be applied towards the upcoming EAST Conference March 17- 19, 2020 at Hot Springs Arkansas.

EAST schools across Arkansas will be on hand for this event showcasing their accomplishments and community projects from this current school year, 2019-2020.  EAST stands for Education Accelerated by Service and Technology.

The HAPS EAST team consists of 8 members,

Captain, Edith Dominguez, Tara Henry, Co-Captain, Guadalupe Montalvan, Graphic Artist, Kennedy Phillips,

Katie Arroyo, Payton Rhodes, Brayden Russell, and Aaron Smith.

These students will be engaged in various activities and exposed to the latest and greatest technology available.

This student-led, student driven style of education in the EAST classroom environment encourages them to be in charge of their own learning. Students are exposed to a variety of software and hardware in the EAST classroom.

It’s what they do with this knowledge that is so impressive!
