The Hope Lions Club heard from the man who is possibly the oldest active teacher in Hempstead County in February 24th.  Charles Jones began his teaching career in 1959 and currently teaches in the Hope School District.

Jones is a native of Guernsey and graduated there in 1955.  He graduated from Arkansas College (now Lyon College) in Batesville and credited the late Haskell Jones, a former Lion, for his attendance there.
The Lions enjoyed hearing Jones’ thoughts on education and in some of his experiences as a state champion coach.
