Work At New Hempstead County Courthouse

Work has been underway to prepare the new Hempstead County Courthouse building for renovation.   Residents have been noticing a construction office next to the building and moving vans.  The vans have been removing items from the building so the renovation can begin.  The construction work will be done by Ideal Construction and the McDougal Group.  Demolition work is expected to begin Thursday on some areas in preparation for the renovation.  The renovation is expected to take 6 to 7 months.
