Dwayne Edward Morton

Dwayne Edward Morton, 81, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 in Hope. He was born August 27, 1939 in Patmos, Arkansas to Leonard and Allie E. Ogdon Morton.

Mr. Morton made his living as a truck driver. He loved his grandkids and his family. He loved to watch the TV show “Everybody Loves Raymond” and Subway.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his mother and father, wife, Dorothy Jane; two sisters, Christine Wright and Darlene Lloyd along with one brother, Earnest Morton.

Those left to cherish his memories include his three sons, John Stewart and Gail, Larry Morton and Sherry, Hobie Morton and Debbie; his daughter, Julie Garcia; special son in law, Tom Garcia; eight grandchildren, John Wayne Stewart, Amy Jones and Charlie, Angela McAdams and Steven, Karen Banks and Eric, Beth Key and Ethan, Julia Garica, Kristen Arroyo and Luis and Clark Garcia; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Morton; two sister, Shirley Whitley Smith and Judy Downs and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the employees at Hope Subway and the staff at Wadley in Hope.

Graveside service will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5200 East Broad St, Texarkana, AR. Bro. Larry Dale Fry will officiate under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope.
