Mildred Hart-Haigwood

Mrs. Mildred “Mickey” Hart-Haigwood, age 93, formerly of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Marshall, Texas. She was born May 19, 1927, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to Luther L. and Rose McIver Cornelius. She was a graduate of Guernsey High School in 1946. Mickey married Edward Glenn Hart, and two sons were born from this union. Afterwards, she moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she worked as a pre-need consultant for a local funeral home. She also sold radio advertising for Hot Springs radio station KWBO, and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Hot Springs. In 1984, she married Dean Haigwood, and they later returned to Marshall, Texas, where she had lived during the 50’s and 60’s. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Dean Haigwood, and sisters: “Cookie” LaGrone and Louise May.

Survivors include her friend and former spouse, Edward Hart; two beloved sons: Barry Hart, wife Ann of Marshall, TX and Scott Hart, wife Donna of Fordyce, AR; sister: Mavis Taylor; Grandchildren: Sherri Fleming, Michelle Bering, Dianna Keenon, Matthew Carlisle; Nieces: Greta Cullers, Cindy Bradshaw; Nephews: Brach May and Ricky LaGrone; Nine Great-grandchildren and Seven Great-great-grandchildren.
