Casa Carlos, Bank of Delight show appreciation to first responders

PRESCOTT – It was party time at Casa Carlos Monday night for first responders.

Carlos Zacarias, owner of the restaurant, said the dinner was to show appreciation for the first responders who worked tirelessly during the recent snowstorm to keep Prescott going. He said the dinner was sponsored by the Bank of Delight, while the Prescott Lions Club and Charlotte Rose hosted the event with Casa Carlos.

Vince Grimes, with the Bank of Delight, said Zacarias reached out for help with the appreciation dinner and the bank complied as it, too, wanted to show its gratitude for the city employees who did an amazing job during the snow storm. The first responders worked to keep the roads clear, pull people from ditches and get priority workers to and from their jobs.

They were served a fajita dinner with all the trimmings. Members of the Prescott Police Department, Prescott Fire Department, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada County Rescue Unit and Nevada County Ambulance Service, along with members of their families, enjoyed the meal, which was dine in or carry out.
