Patsy E.  McCorkle, age 84, of East Dundee a a resident of the area for over 60 years passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.  Patsy was born in Prescott, Arkansas on August 23, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Lester & Nettie( nee Graham) McLelland. Patsy enjoyed her work at Chicago Rawhide, Fotomat, and Poly Shapes. Patsy also volunteered on several political campaigns where political party did not matter as long as the candidate shared her values and love of the United States. Patsy loved animals and was a proud steward for the welfare of her dogs Mercy and Miss Daisy.

Survivors include her children; Sharon (Mike) Mahnke, Ken(Liz) McCorkle, Toni( Nelson) Martell and Zach( Paula) McCorkle.  Other survivors include her 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her brother; Lester C. “ Spud” McLelland, her sisters; Peggy Pringle and Louise ( Ken) Schnell, her aunt; Ruby Maude Arnett along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including Donald Trump.

At Patsy’s request, she will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held  on April 17, 2021, 3:00 pm, at the family home. Unfortunately, this event will not include Patsy’s signature homemade ice cream, fudge, or other sweets.  In her honor the stereo will be playing country music and the television tuned to Fox News or American Pickers.

Memorials may be made to the Community Crisis Center, to provide services for victims of domestic abuse. Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is assisting the family with all arrangements.
