JoAnn Browning

JoAnn R. Browning, 83, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2021. She was born to loving parents, the late Kenny and Dora Russell, in Bodcaw Arkansas on April 13, 1938. She met the love of her life, Don Browning, before being graduated from Hope High School. They were married June 14, 1957. JoAnn and Don relocated several times while he served with the army before settling in Little Rock to raise their three children. JoAnn proudly made Wife and Mother her life‘s work and she was certainly at the top of her field. Taking on Christ as her Savior at an early age JoAnn was a long time member of Six and Izard (now Windsong) Church of Christ. Her desire for God grew her whole life particularly focusing on prayer and studying the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. JoAnn had an enormous love of family and was gifted with encouragement which she freely gave to her family and increasing circle of friends. JoAnn spent over 30 years learning, serving, and helping others in Al-Anon. She moved to Marietta Georgia in 2017 to be close to family. She stepped into her eternal home April 19, 2021 where moth and rust, suffering, sadness and pain do not exist.

Survivors include Donald (Sundee) Browning, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Joan (Mike) Foster of Marietta, Georgia: and Dan (Shayna) Browning of Batavia, Ohio. Other survivors include her sister, Sharron Coffman, brother, Garry Russell, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Saturday, May 8, 2021at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas, 72002. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 prior to the service at graveside.

The family wishes to thank JoAnn‘s caregivers whose collective love made her last years a delight. Her brother-in-law, Conrad Browning, officiator.
