PRESCOTT – Four teams gathered at Sterling Square Wednesday morning to pick up the gear they would need to help clean up Prescott.
This was part of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce’s annual cleanup campaign in conjunction with the state. A total of 21 people went to different parts of town to pick up garbage. The top three teams earned prizes sponsored by the Bank of Delight, Southern Caregivers and Charlotte Rose.
All participants were given vests, gloves, grabbers and trash bags, along with bottles of water. The water and grabbers were provide by Farmer’s Bank and Trust. Crews from the Prescott Sanitation Department were on hand to weigh and pick up what the teams brought in.
