Masks required at Nevada Schools

ROSSTON -Masks will be required at Nevada School when school starts Monday.

The Nevada School Board voted to adopt the following policy at a special meeting Thursday August 12:

All students and employees are required to wear face coverings over the mouth and nose while indoors on the campus or while riding a school bus.  The following exceptions apply:
1.  While consuming food and beverages
2.  While actively participating in an athletic contest, athletic practice or physical education class that is held in the gymnasium
Students and employees are not required to wear face coverings while on the campus outdoors.
This policy is effective immediately and extends until the regular school board meeting on August 26, 2021 at which time it will be re-evaluated to determine whether it should be continued or modified.
