PRESCOTT – Saturday saw several young ladies crowned as new Nevada County pageant winners, along with seeing a quartet of young people tabbed talent winners. Interestingly, all of the talent winners were siblings competing in different divisions.

Josh and Jacob Christopher won the Junior Duo division, while the junior single solo went to their brother Payton, with Cassady Christopher taking the senior solo category. All three move on to district in Hope and hope for a shot at the state fair in October.

As to the pageants, there weren’t a lot of contestants in most categories, and none vying for Nevada County Fair Queen. However, the win for those who competed was just as sweet. Ava Williams was crowned Baby Miss. She was also named best dressed. Avery Johnson was the first runner up and photo winner. Ivy Gomez was second runner up.

In the Tiny Miss division, Aiza Thompson was crowned queen and named best dressed. Kenzley Flowers was first runner up and most photogenic with Olivia Rose the second runner up.

Jordyn Burton was named Little Miss and moves on to the district. She was also named best dressed. Hazley Flowers was first runner up and most photogenic, with Adaline Cummings second runner up.

Brooklyn Pierce was named Petit Miss and best dressed, while Kensley Lester was first runner up and most photogenic.

Claire Laughard took the title of Debutante Miss and most photogenic, while Devin Griffith was first runner up and best dress.

In the Junior Miss division, Chloe Brown was the winner and named best dressed, most photogenic and took the active wear contest as well. She advances to state. Zoe Wright was the first runner up and will compete in the Southwest District contest. Wright was also presented with the Paula Ledbetter “Lift You Up” award for the way she assisted others during pageant preparations. Ledbetter worked with the pageant, but passed away earlier this year.
