Grayson officer spotlight of week

PRESCOTT – Joey Grayson was first hired as a Patrolman with the Prescott Police Department in September of 1996, by then Chief of Police William Latin.

He worked for the Police Department until June of 1998 when he began working as a Deputy Sheriff for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.  In November of 1998, He was hired and began working for the United States Border Patrol as a Border Patrol Agent in Brackettville, Texas.  In the nearly 23 years he worked for the Border Patrol, he has been stationed as an Agent in Brackettville, Texas, Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in Deming, New Mexico and Nogales, Arizona, an Operations Officer at the Tucson Sector Headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, a Field Operations Supervisor in El Paso, Texas, a Special Operations Supervisor in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, and at the El Paso Sector Headquarters in El Paso, Texas, and finally a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he ended his career with the US Border Patrol.

In December of 2021, he returned home, to Prescott, Arkansas, where he returned to the Prescott Police Department.  Joey says “I am glad to be back here in Prescott to make my community a safer place for everyone”.
