Trio file to run as GOP in primary election

PRESCOTT – Three candidates filed to run as Republicans for the May 24 Preferential Primary election, and for the Nevada County Republican Committee.

All three filed Tuesday, Feb. 22, the first day of filing. Filing times  will be Friday and Monday from 12-4:30 p.m., with the final day of filing Tuesday, March 1, from 9 a.m. until noon at the Nevada County Courthouse.

Filing fees remain unchanged. They are:

County Judge $750

County Sheriff $750

Justice of the Peace 455

County Coroner $115

County Clerk $500

County Assessor $500

Circuit Clerk $500

County Treasurer $500

Republica Committee $20

Constable $1
