The Arkansas archeological Station at Southern Arkansas University hosted a volunteer dig at historic Washington state park park in celebration of archeology month.  A team investigated the site of the Witter House,  one of the earliest residences in Washington and home to one of Arkansas’ legislators of the territorial period (pre-1836).
Shown are Don Bregg and Ed Eaves working and Dr. Carl Drexler is shown with Washington Baptist Church in the background.
