Representatives of Pafford Medical Services spoke at Monday’s meeting of the Howard County Quorum Court.  Company owner, Jamie Pafford-Gresham updated j.p.’s on the company’s service to Howard County.  Pafford now provides ambulance coverage in 17 of Arkansas’ 75 counties, including Howard, Hempstead and Nevada.  With the company’s expansion in southwest Arkansas, Gresham said Pafford plans to have an ambulance stationed at Blevins to help provide coverage in the area from Nashville to Prescott.  Concerning Howard County, she said the company has recently purchased two new ambulances for Nashville and Howard County.  Concerning coverage in northern Howard County, Gresham said Pafford has relaxed some of their county wide exclusive ambulance restrictions and now work with ambulance services in Wickes and Glenwood.  If available and closer than a Pafford ambulance, one of the ambulances from Wickes or Glenwood are contacted frequently to provide emergency care in the northern part of Howard County.

She also praised Howard Memorial Hospital for their work during Covid-19 and said getting patients the medical care needed was a taxing challenge on everyone in the medical field.
