Mollie A. Stroud September 20, 1937- May 13, 2022.

Mrs. Mollie Stroud passed away in her sleep May 13, 2022 from complications from a length illness.

She was born September 20, 1937 in Hope, AR to Hiram and Winifred Hatfield. In 1959 she married Thomas M. Stroud and moved to Shreveport, LA where they lived until moving to Spring Hill, AR.

She was a homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She also had three sisters who predeceased her. Louise Smith, Fern Tarpley, and Susan Ashton, and niece Donna Potter (Smith).

She is survived by her sister Margaret Sengel. Her three children- Jason Stroud of Spring Hill, AR, Amanda Stroud of Ranson, WV, and Dave Stroud of Shrevport, LA. Daughter-in-law Brandy Stroud (Maddox) and two grandchildren, Noelle Anastasia Stroud and Cassian William Thomas Stroud. Two other daughters-in-law Bridgette Maddox and Brondalynn Moore (Maddox). She also has several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

Flower gardening was a favorite of hers. The Arkansas Razorback basketball team was also a favorite whether they were on the radio or television. Crossword puzzles from newspapers was another thing she loved to do. She always had a mystery novel checked out from the library. A great thank you to the librarians and staff of Hempstead library for help in making her latter years brighter. She was also a supporter of the Samaritan’s Purse Organization.

Also, a large thank you to the staff of Kindred Hospice for their care and concern, particularly to Holly whose visits and help were always a weekly highlight.

Graveside service is scheduled 10:00am Friday, May 20, 2022 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, AR with Bro. Eric Fisher officiating.
